Each event is locally and independently organized, and there may be some variations in format. However, we ask that ALL organizers adhere to the following:*
1. The aim of a Vets Town Hall is to increase communication and understanding between veterans and civilians in their communities. Veterans are invited to speak openly about their experiences, and community members are encouraged to attend and listen.

2. Vets Town Halls are nonpolitical. The host should not mention their political party, any election/reelection campaign, or pending legislation and political initiatives in any way shape or form.

3. Vets Town Halls are noncommercial. They shouldn’t be used to promote a particular business. We recommend that the event be free for both speakers and attendees.

4. All perspectives are valued. These events have no agenda.
