Check-in at a Vets Town Hall
Having a check-in table at your event provides an opportunity to welcome speakers and attendees, and to answer any questions about the town hall. It’s also a chance to see whether registered speakers have arrived, to sign in veterans who would like to speak but haven’t yet registered, and to ask if attendees would like to sign up for emails about future Vets Town Halls in the area.
We’ve uploaded some documents for the check-in table:
- A program helps to set clear expectations for the event. Click here for a simple program template on Google Drive. You can choose “make a copy” from the “file” menu, and then edit the program to fit your event.
- The blank speaker sign-up sheet can be used to sign in speakers who have not yet preregistered.
- The email sign-up sheet lets you gather contact info for attendees who would like to be kept up to date on future VTHs in your area. (The file linked to here should only be used to gather email addresses for VTH-specific updates.)
- You’ll also want to have a list of pre-registered speakers: This can be laid out the same way as the blank speaker sign-up sheet. As speakers arrive, you can ask them to double check their info, and you can check off that they’re present.
